Krishnamacharya says:

“If you can breathe you can do yoga”

Everyone is welcome at our Studio, regardless of yoga abilities.

Soham Yoga Studio in Mona Vale is a boutique studio catering to smaller personalised classes.

Soham is a space where you can leave the outside world behind and reconnect to Self.  You will use the power of the mind, body and breath connection to escape from outside influences, if only for a short while.

We offer Vinyasa-style and Yin classes, please see the timetable for schedule.

So come and join us on a beautiful journey inward.

ABOUT US

Inspired by nature, Soham's  foundation is focused on the 5 Elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space.

Following Yogic tradition, our practice opens the pathway through which the essence of your soul connects back to the infinite abundance of the universe, giving you permission to take some much deserved time for self-care through connection to Self and the universe.

Our yoga classes are designed to gently introduce you to stillness and to the connection to Self. Giving you guidance and focus on your journey inward. Leading always with the heart and an abundance of love.

THE NAME

The Sanskrit word “Soham” is a Hindu mantra, meaning "I am He/That". In Vedic philosophy it means identifying oneself with the universe or ultimate reality.

My introduction to this mantra was through a guided meditation. I connected immediately with the concept, seeing myself as more than my physical body but rather an extension, reaching the furthest realms of the universe. This visualisation exposed me to the potential available when we do not limit our beliefs and take faith in the knowledge that we are part of something bigger.

I chose it as the name for my business as a reminder of the vastness of opportunity available when you accept that you have the backing of the universe. All things are possible when you connect to this infinite force.

When you strip away everything you believe defines you, what remains is the reality of simply being. Stillness is one of the greatest challenges, we keep ourselves busy for we cannot bear our own consciousness, but once we find it we are liberated, free from our own concepts and the bondage of the mind.

Stilling the mind and taking time out to connect to Self is a gift that surpasses any other. When you find stillness, magic happens; you connect to your inner being without the distractions of everyday life. You soften into the pure bliss that is within you and it is now yours to access anytime, anywhere.

We invite you to embrace the belief - i.am.that. Through this journey you will be establishing ways to draw on this power. You will become aware of your unconscious actions of doing things simply because they are familiar. Instead, you will learn to make every action precise, allowing your true nature to guide your choices.

Soham itself is the highest knowledge; the realization of Soham is the greatest purpose of life. i.am.that.

Each time I attend a practice it's somehow exactly what I needed.
She is always welcoming, super caring and so calming.
I really like the new studio at Mona Vale, it's lovely inside and there's loads of parking, close to coffee shops and right behind Pittwater Place.

Lyn is a truly wonderful yoga teacher, I feel like I'm getting so much benefit from my yoga classes now that I hadn't gotten before and it's definitely due to Lyn's teachings. It's a beautiful space also, I always look forward to my classes.

Lyn’s teaching has helped my fitness. Tennis elbow and my day to day coping methods in being a busy mum and business owner. Lyn takes the time to find out injuries and personal goals and puts them into place in class. I try to go each day and she helps my day to day mental health and has been instrumental in healing my tennis elbow and helping me strengthen my body and keep being able to play competitive tennis. Also she has become a lovely friend. I cannot recommend her enough.
