Celebrate the new moon and re-invigorate your soul with a day of yoga and creativity  29 May

logo akasha .jpg

Falling on the new moon, which marks the beginning of the new lunar cycle and often brings new beginnings, it is the ideal time to set intentions, slow down and reset, especially as we move into the cooler more reflective months. This is the perfect opportunity for you to take some time to relax, reflect and grow.

Join us on for an immersive day of nourishment and self care using ceramic art & yoga.

The retreat will be held in the heart of Mona Vale, on Sydney's beautiful Northern Beaches, using our dedicated artist studio and separate dedicated yoga studio, which are contained within the same charming historical zoo-keepers cottage with a beautiful shared out-door space. A lovely and relaxing oasis for the soul, and close to public transport.

All are welcome, whatever your yoga and artistic experience may be. We keep group sizes small, limited to 10 people, and we will make sure that beginners are guided and assisted with their yoga and ceramic art.

Bookings are essential and we fill up quickly, so get in early to reserve your spot.

On the day

Vinyasa Flow Yoga - Soham Yoga Studio

The day begins with a vinyasa flow class (suitable for all levels, even beginners) where you will connect, through a targeted practice, to the feminine energy within your bodies, your shakti. This connection will ignite your creativity, readying you for your creative workshop.

Ceramics Workshop - Little Sun Studio

With your creative mojo unlocked, you will enjoy a fully instructed 2hr hand building with clay workshop, where you will be making your own set of incense holders and small ritual bowls. This is a chance to deepen your connection to your creative life, to slow down and set intentions. Your piece also serves as a physical reminder and symbol of the ritualistic act of taking a moment for yourself in whatever form that serves you best. Each piece will be delightful in all its uniqueness and will be lovingly glazed and fired.

Lunch

Yoga and ceramics are hungry work, so you will be more than ready for a wholesome and delicious vegetarian lunch, prepared with love to nourish your body.  Served with a selection of salads and crusty sour dough bread.

Restorative Yin Yoga - Soham Yoga Studio

After lunch you will return to your mat for a restorative yin session. Slowing down, this deeply relaxing practice will invite in an opportunity to reflect, to breathe, and to connect with your soul, tapping into your inner-most feelings. This session encourages you to release stuck energy as you slowly and gently open up your body.

I came to Eleanor’s Ritual Bowl workshop without an idea in my mind or a skill in my hands for what I wanted to do, but three hours later filled with warmth, laughter, tea, Eleanor’s gentle guiding and wonderful company, I had created beautiful bowls I still can’t believe came from me! An afternoon balm for the heart and soul.

Lyn’s teaching has helped my fitness. Tennis elbow and my day to day coping methods in being a busy mum and business owner. Lyn takes the time to find out injuries and personal goals and puts them into place in class. I try to go each day and she helps my day to day mental health and has been instrumental in healing my tennis elbow and helping me strengthen my body and keep being able to play competitive tennis. Also she has become a lovely friend. I cannot recommend her enough.

Lyn is the best yoga teacher ever - it's like she was born for it! A Generous heart with a calming voice, she radiates joy and always has a smile to share. It is always such a pleasure to do any of her yoga classes and the meditations are pure relaxation. Lyn caters for everyone's needs, the classes are varied and adjusted to suit the students in the room. The community at Soham yoga is really welcoming and friendly and the studio such a fantastic place to be. 10/10 - you really must try a yoga class with Lyn and you'll see what I mean.

Each time I attend a practice it's somehow exactly what I needed.
She is always welcoming, super caring and so calming.
